A private family is seeking a warm, experienced, and professional Russian-speaking Rota Nanny to provide exceptional care for their young child while travelling throughout Europe.
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced nanny who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can provide a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of early childhood development and be confident supporting a toddler’s emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development through age-appropriate activities.
The family is looking for someone who can bring a calm and reassuring presence into the home, maintain familiar routines while travelling, and provide high-quality childcare in partnership with the parents.
Job Description
The role is focused on providing excellent childcare, creating a positive daily rhythm, and supporting the child’s development in a loving and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
- Full care and supervision of the child, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintaining the child’s daily routine, including meals, naps, bedtime, and daily rituals.
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate developmental activities.
- Supporting speech, sensory, motor, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Organising creative play, outdoor activities, walks, music, reading, and educational games.
- Using songs, nursery rhymes, lullabies, and games to encourage speech development and auditory perception.
- Supporting the child’s emotional development through a warm, responsive, and nurturing approach.
- Travelling with the family throughout Europe and ensuring continuity of care in different environments.
- Maintaining children’s areas, organising toys, and completing light child-related duties such as children’s laundry.
- Working closely with parents to ensure consistency in routines, care, and developmental goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience caring for toddlers in private households.
- Russian-speaking (essential).
- Good English communication skills preferred.
- Strong knowledge of modern early childhood development methods and understanding of the physiological, psychological, and speech development stages of young children.
- Ability to create and implement a structured plan of age-appropriate developmental activities, including sensory skills, speech development, motor skills, emotional development, and play.
- Knowledge of songs, nursery rhymes, lullabies, and games that support speech and auditory development.
- Understanding of modern psychological approaches, including attachment theory and natural child development principles, is highly desirable.
- Warm, caring, patient, and emotionally intelligent personality.
- Flexible, adaptable, and confident working in a travel-based role.
- European passport holder to facilitate smooth travel throughout Europe.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification preferred.
- Excellent references and a professional childcare background.
