A lovely private household in Lapworth is seeking an experienced, reliable and proactive Housekeeper to join them on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully run home and enjoys working independently.
The household is home to two adults who are not resident full-time [usually just for 4 months of the year], so the role offers a calm working environment with responsibility for ensuring the property is always well presented and cared for.
Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running and care of the property, including:
- General housekeeping and high-standard cleaning.
- Laundry and ironing.
- Preparing simple home-cooked meals when they are in residence
- Preserving and freezing produce from the kitchen garden.
- Liaising with and overseeing contractors when required.
- General care and upkeep of the property to ensure it is well maintained and organised.
- Addtional cleaning of estate office
Candidate Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience in a private household essential.
- Reliable, trustworthy and responsible with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and use initiative.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport essential.
Live-in accommodation may be considered for the right candidate.
