A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Domestic Couple to join a European family at their beautiful private estate in Italy.
The property is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and, once completed in Summer 2027, will be a stunning family residence. The successful couple will ideally join early 2027, allowing time to become familiar with the estate and the family's requirements ahead of the property being fully operational.
The principals are a European family of four who own several properties internationally.
This is a long-term opportunity for a professional, trustworthy and experienced couple who are looking to become an integral part of the household and take genuine pride in the care and management of the property.
The Roles
The responsibilities will broadly be divided between a House Manager and Maintenance Manager.
House Manager
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the residence
- Ensuring the property is fully prepared ahead of the family's arrival
- Maintaining excellent household standards and organisation
- Coordinating contractors, suppliers and external service providers
- Managing household supplies, inventories and provisioning
- Assisting with guest preparation and family requirements
- Providing a professional and discreet presence within the household
Maintenance Manager
- General property and estate maintenance
- Identifying and resolving maintenance issues
- Coordinating specialist contractors and trades
- Conducting regular checks of the residence and estate
- Overseeing household systems and ensuring everything is operating correctly
- General DIY and practical maintenance
- Supporting the overall upkeep and security of the property
As the estate is currently undergoing significant renovation, the exact division of responsibilities will be further defined as the property approaches completion.
Candidate Requirements
- Italian speaking – essential
- Must hold an EU passport or already have the legal right to work in Italy
- Previous experience working as a Domestic Couple within a private household or estate
- Professional, discreet and trustworthy
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Hands-on and happy to work collaboratively
- Confident managing a substantial private residence
- Comfortable liaising with contractors, suppliers and external professionals
- Flexible and accustomed to the changing requirements of a private family
- Looking for a genuine long-term position

Excellent private live-in accommodation will be provided.

The principals are a European family with several international residences.
The Italian estate will not necessarily be occupied year-round, so the couple will play an important role in ensuring the property is beautifully maintained, managed and fully prepared whenever the family are in residence.
