Permanent Daily / Residential Nanny – Mixed Care
A warm and busy family are looking for an experienced, qualified and highly capable nanny to join their household on a permanent basis. This is a mixed-care role supporting three young children across different ages and stages.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, energetic and confident, with a genuine passion for baby and toddler development. Experience supporting children with additional needs, sensory differences or behavioural challenges would be highly advantageous.
The nanny should be someone who genuinely enjoys working with children of different ages and stages and who can adapt their approach to each child's individual personality and needs.
The Role
This is a mixed-care nanny position, with the nanny helping the family manage the morning routine before focusing primarily on baby care during the day.
Typical duties will include:
• Helping the children get ready and out for school/nursery
• Providing excellent sole care for the youngest child during the day
• Supporting the older children when required
• Promoting age-appropriate development through play, activities and outings
• Supporting the eldest child's emotional regulation and individual needs
• School and nursery runs
• Preparing simple meals and helping with family mealtimes
• Assisting with bath and bedtime routines
• Children's laundry and keeping play areas and children's spaces organised
• Caring for all three children during school holidays
• Babysitting and occasional evening care
• Travelling with the family when required
• Being a flexible and proactive member of the household
During school holidays, the nanny will care for all three children during working hours, although the family often arranges activities/camps and the parents may also take some time off.
Hours
Monday to Friday, approximately 8am–6pm (50 hours per week)
The family are looking for someone who can offer genuine flexibility, with hours varying occasionally according to family requirements. This may include:
• Occasional later finishes
• Evening babysitting
• Occasional overnight stays
• Some weekend flexibility on occasion
• Potential travel with the family
Candidate Requirements
The family are looking for someone who is:
• Highly experienced
• Warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about childcare
• Confident caring for children across different ages and developmental stages
• Experienced with babies and toddlers
• Calm and confident when managing challenging behaviour or emotional dysregulation
• Ideally experienced with additional needs, sensory differences or developmental challenges
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
• Energetic and happy to spend time outdoors
• Flexible and adaptable
• Looking to become a trusted and valued part of a family
• A confident and safe driver
A genuine passion for baby and toddler development is essential.
