We are seeking a reliable, capable and adaptable Household Cook & Household Assistant to join a private household on a full-time basis.
This is not a formal private chef position. The successful candidate will be a confident and practical household cook who enjoys preparing good-quality, home-cooked family meals, while also being happy to provide general assistance around the home when required.
The Role
Cooking will be the principal responsibility. Initially, the successful candidate will work closely alongside the client to learn her recipes, preferences and style of cooking. Once familiar with these, they will be expected to take responsibility for preparing meals independently, ensuring they are consistent and to the client's preferred standard.
The household is looking for someone who takes pride in producing fresh, wholesome and well-presented everyday family food, rather than elaborate or overly formal cuisine.
Alongside cooking, the role will involve providing general household assistance as required. This may include helping to keep the home organised, assisting with day-to-day household tasks and being flexible when additional help is needed.
