Houseman / Butler – Central London & Country House
A private client is seeking an experienced Houseman / Butler to work between their central London residence and country home.
Location: 50% in Central London and 50% at the country house
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 per annum
Schedule: 5 days per week, including some weekends when required
Accommodation: Self-contained accommodation can be provided in central London. Single occupancy only-no pets or partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Polishing and maintaining silver and brass
- Providing formal table and household service
- Carrying out light housekeeping duties
- Some chauffeuring and driving within London
- Assisting with the care and daily routines of the family's dogs
- Supporting the smooth running of both properties
- Travelling to the country home when required
Candidate Requirements
- Must have previous experience as a Houseman/Butler [butler skills essential]
- Strong knowledge of formal service and household standards
- Confident caring for and polishing silverware and brass
- A clean driving licence and confidence driving in London
- Flexible and willing to work across two residences
- Very dog-friendly, comfortable handling and assisting with dogs
