THE HOUSEHOLD
A formally run private household in Abu Dhabi, supporting a female principal. THE ROLE
A position for a butler of real polish and experience, setting the standard of service within the household and working collaboratively with a small, established team. The right person brings authority without ego, and an instinct for protocol, presentation and discretion.
— Deliver formal service and butler-style dining, including silver service and event setups
— Manage the principal's wardrobe, including packing and unpacking, garment care, pressing and closet organisation
— Care for fine surfaces, flowers, shoes, bags and the household's finer possessions
— Oversee protocol and guest management, including greeting dignitaries, gift handling and etiquette
— Manage luggage, personal shopping and discreet personal errands
— Liaise with the kitchen to ensure service is timely and beautifully presented
— Maintain inventories of china, crystal, silver and household supplies
— Guide and support junior colleagues, setting an example of service and discretion

THE CANDIDATE
A polished, discreet and experienced butler with a background in formal private households or five-star luxury hospitality, who understands service etiquette and protocol instinctively. You are collaborative by nature and motivated by the long term.
— Proven experience as a butler in a palace, formal VIP household or five-star luxury hotel
— Strong command of service etiquette, formal dining and protocol
— Experience supervising or mentoring junior household staff
— Formal butler training preferred
— Excellent spoken English, with additional languages a plus
— Complete discretion and respect for confidentiality
— Flexible, reliable and genuinely service-oriented
