A private family with a formal oceanfront estate in Palm Beach is seeking a hands-on Houseman with some butler-style polish to care for the property inside and out. This is a fully staffed home, and the estate manager and executive assistant are the go-to contacts. The ideal candidate is handy, reliable and comfortable working within simple, established systems. This is a live-out, year-round position with no travel.
Location & Schedule
- Palm Beach, year-round
- Live-out
- 5 days a week on a rotating schedule, including weekends
- Shifts: 8:30 am–5:00 pm or 10:30 am–6:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Maintain the exterior and interior of the oceanfront estate
- Painting and touch-ups throughout the property
- Wipe down tables and care for indoor and outdoor furniture
- Clean and maintain the family’s cars
- Upkeep of security cameras
- Clean and maintain the tennis courts
- Coordinate with outside vendors on larger projects
- Provide light butler-style support as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a houseman or estate maintenance professional in a private home
- Hands-on and handy, with knowledge of both interior and exterior upkeep
- Polished presence suited to a formal household
- Team player who takes direction well
- Comfortable with a family dog
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
