A private family with a formal oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, who spend their summers in the
Hamptons, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper who also enjoys serving and assisting the chef. This is
a fully staffed, formal home with a chef, house assistant, 2-3 housekeepers, estate manager and executive assistant. The
ideal candidate is service-oriented, polished and a true team player. Travel with the family to New York
for 3–4 months each year is required.
Location & Schedule
• Based in Palm Beach year-round, with summers in the Hamptons and a few weeks in Westchester
before and after
• Live-out in Palm Beach; live-in while in the Hamptons (required)
• Rotating schedule, 5 days on / 2 days off, including weekends
• Shifts: 8:30 am–5:30 pm, 10:30 am–6:30 pm, or weekend 12:00–8:30 pm
Responsibilities
• Maintain the home to a high standard with thorough daily and detailed housekeeping
• Handle laundry, pressing and care of linens and clothing
• Serve meals and assist the chef; support the kitchen while in the Hamptons
• Support the house assistant as needed
• Learn and follow the household’s established systems
Requirements
• Proven housekeeping experience in a private, formal household
• Serving experience and comfort working alongside a chef
• Able to travel and live in for the summer season
• Flexible with travel dates, which are not set far in advance
• Comfortable with a family dog
• Excellent references from current and previous employers
Compensation & Benefits
• $40–$50 per hour, paid on the books
