Overview
First-time parents in TriBeCa are seeking a superlative newborn care specialist, starting in May 2025 (due date: 5/22). The contract term will be a minimum of 9 months, with the option to extend to 12 months if all parties are in agreement, and with due notice to the candidate. The schedule will be a guaranteed 12 hours per night (likely 7pm-7am), 7 days per week. The family have a second primary residence in Michigan (MI), where they spend 50% of their time. This opportunity is open to both live-in and live-out candidates.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Implementing an effective sleep routine that the parents can follow once the term ends
- Providing practical tools, as well as general support and assistance, where possible (given the nighttime schedule)
- Candidates should be willing to offer their professional advice and gentle guidance but ultimately respect the parents’ wishes - they do not want to be steamrollered into doing things a certain way
Qualifications
- Must have at least 5-8 years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist
- Must have experience working nights
- Candidates should be calm, gentle and flexible
- It would be a huge plus if candidates were able to drive (so that they may be independent when the family are in MI and elsewhere) - the family will provide a car for the candidate’s use.
Requirements
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Up to date on RSV/ Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Must be CPR certified
- Be willing to travel back and forth to MI and also travel elsewhere domestically and potentially internationally
- Available to commit to the full term
- In time, the family may extend the candidate’s hours, with notice, so it would be great if candidates were open to this.
- Must be pet friendly (the family have a very friendly Toy Poodle)
Salary and Benefits
- The family are offering a competitive rate for the perfect candidate
