Overview
First-time parents based in Pompano Beach seek a fabulous newborn care specialist to support them for a couple of weeks after the arrival of their baby, due mid-August. The schedule could possibly be 20/7 for the two weeks or they are also considering just nights for 3 or so weeks, with the possibility of extending should things go well (likely reducing hours to two or three days or nights per week).
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Providing professional guidance and advice in relation to baby's care
- Working in a supportive and collaborative way with the parents, respecting the family's personal preferences while building their confidence
- Implementing an effective sleep and feeding routine that the parents can continue once the contract has finished
- Full-charge care, when/if required
- Light housekeeping related to the baby
Requirements
- Training and continuing education in the newborn care and child development fields
- Trustworthy, reliable, and an effective communicator
- Comfortable working in an environment with 2 large, friendly dogs
- An easygoing and warm attitude
- A family-oriented and evidence-based approach to newborn care
Salary and Benefits
- From $650/24hrs depending on experience
- Or from $35/hr for nights
