Overview
A busy family of five in Greenwich Village is seeking a fantastic full-time housekeeper to assist with care of their home. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with flexibility for an occasionally earlier start or later end. The family has a dog, so candidates should be comfortable working around and assisting with pet care as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deep cleaning and daily tidying of a three bedroom apartment
- Family laundry
- Errands and stocking household supplies
- Grocery shopping
- Basic food preparation such as chopping vegetables
- Occasional dog walking, refilling water and food as needed
Qualifications
- Willingness to assist with basic food prep
- Skilled at stain removal, experience in basic mending
- Warm and kind- comfortable working around and with children
- Detail-oriented and proactive
- Pleasant and neutral presence in the home- things can get busy so the family needs someone steady and calming
Requirements
- Flexibility for extra hours if needed
- Willingness to occasionally travel to summer home
Salary and Benefits
- $40/hr.
- Two weeks PTO and paid federal holidays
