Overview
A private gentleman in Montauk is seeking a fantastic house manager/hospitality specialist to join his team. The general schedule for this position will be 6 days per week during the Summer season, including weekends and evenings as needed for parties and dinners. During the off season, the schedule will be less demanding and on an as-needed basis. This can be a temporary to permanent hire or a permanent hire.
Responsibilities
There is already a housekeeper and property manager on-site, so this position would focus more on the guests, family, and interiors of the home and how it functions. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- All aspects of managing the family and guest visits inclusive of management and logistics of hospitality, assisting the chef with menus and various items, light housekeeping, event planning, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for family and their guests.
- Liaise with vendors, designers, private yacht staff, and NYC-based personal assistant team
- Coordinate yacht hospitality needs with captain and provide service on-board as needed.
- Managing household employees
- Oversee all inventories of the house from art to pantry
- Act as the "front of house,” planning and executing a variety of social events and functions while working with other staff to keep the home running like a five-star hotel.
- Coordinate menus and guest lists with the chef
- Plan and order food for travel
- Keep a list of frequent guests and their preferences
- Set tables and organize decor for meals
- Stay abreast of and prepared for upcoming social events both on and off the property
- Assist with family dog’s wellbeing by coordinating dog walks, vet appointments, and meals.
- Work with personal assistant team to schedule appointments as requested, examples including in-home Pilate's, massages, and dining reservations.
