Overview
A lovely down-to-earth family is seeking a newborn care specialist to assist with their 6-month-old son, starting in July or August and staying until January 1. The family is open to an NCS who has less availaiblity, if it's a great fit! The schedule for this role is 20/7. The NCS will have a separate apartment attached to the home with a bedroom, bathroom, laundry, and kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
- Maintaining and adjusting sleep and feeding routines/schedules as the baby grows
- Help clean and sterilize bottles
- Maintain a clean and tidy nursery
- Travel with the family, when required
Qualifications
- Warm, collaborative, and supportive
- Experience with older infants (starting on solid food, engaging in age appropriate ways)
- Comfortable working with an involved SAHM
- Trustworthy, reliable, and an effective communicator
- An easygoing and warm attitude
- Hands-on and resourceful, but also knows when to give the family space
Requirements
- At least 12 years experience as an NCS
- Up to date on Covid, flu, MMR, RSV and TDap vaccinations
- Experience with 20/7 or "awake" care in addition to overnights
- Training and continuing education in the newborn care and child development fields
- US work authorization
