Overview
A private client is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual for a full-time housekeeping position in the Menlo Park area. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, reliability, and discretion, with responsibilities focused on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in a private household. The ideal candidate will have a highly flexible schedule and be available to work 5–6 days per week. Shifts will rotate and may include morning and evening hours. Sample shift times include:• 6am - 2pm• 9am - 4pm• 10am - 6pmCandidates must be able to commute to Menlo Park. Punctuality and on-site availability are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform deep cleaning of all household areas, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization
- Manage heavy laundry loads, including care for linens, delicate couture garments, and fine fabrics. Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment preservation is essential
- Provide evening turndown service, maintaining a welcoming and restful environment in bedrooms.
- Assist with household organization and support general upkeep tasks as needed
- Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times while working in a private home
- Be available and willing to travel with the family on occasion, providing housekeeping support while traveling
- Provide daily care for three small dogs, including feeding, walking, basic grooming, and general oversight of their well-being
Requirements
• Proven experience in high-end residential housekeeping or similar professional setting• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, fabric care, and laundry best practices• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a pristine environment• Flexibility in schedule and ability to adapt to changing needs• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation• Ability to travel
