Overview
A private, growing family of three (soon to be four) living in Pacific Heights, California, is seeking a top-notch career nanny to join their team. The role is Monday through Friday, 40 to 45 hours per week. The family has a 3-year-old and a baby on the way.
Responsibilities
The role will be primarily child-focused; however, as the child ages and nap and school times change, some assistance with organizing and daily tidying would be appreciated. Other duties will include:
- Creating a warm, nurturing environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries for an active and bright toddler
- Helping with the transition of the new baby into the household
- Planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities and educational experiences; someone who can really educate and be focused on child's development and upcoming milestones
- Researching and coordinating local adventures and outings for enrichment
- Providing transportation to activities (excellent driving skills required)
- Walking to playgrounds and setting up play dates
- Coordinating schedules, managing appointments
- Meal preparation for the child and help with any bottles or formula for the infant
- Child laundry
- Child-related organizing and restocking of items
Qualifications
- Proactive and energetic
- Independent, not needing constant direction
- Team player mentality
- No task too big/small mentality, willing to help out where needed- help unload dishwasher, take out trash, etc.
- Background in childhood education or education is a plus.
- The ability to speak Spanish or Mandarin is a plus
Requirements
- The candidate must drive and have a safe and reliable car
- The family is only considering candidates who live in areas that do not require the Bay Bridge as a daily commute route
- You must have infant and toddler experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team with the parents
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- TrustLine registered, or willing to register
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly rate DOE and ranges from $45-$65 per hour.
