Overview
A private professional family is seeking an experienced, professional, live-in career nanny to provide attentive care for their infant son. The role follows a ROTA-style schedule, with the nanny providing 24-hour coverage during working days (approximately 4–5 consecutive days per week) and living in during those shifts.
The family maintains a highly organized, structured, formal household and is seeking a candidate comfortable working in a formal home environment alongside other household staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs while maintaining professionalism and utmost discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, full-time care for the infant, including feeding, sleep training, maintaining nap schedules, and supporting developmental milestones
- Maintain the child’s daily routines and structure
- Sanitize bottles and prepare baby-related items
- Organize and maintain the nursery, baby clothing, and supplies
- Engage the child in age-appropriate developmental activities
- Travel internationally with the family occasionally if needed
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with other household staff
Qualifications
- Energetic, organized, and highly professional
- Able to take direction well while also demonstrating initiative and sound judgment
- Calm under pressure
- Capable of reading the room
- Able to adapt to a structured household environment
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and discretion
- Receptive to guidance and able to accept constructive feedback professionally, using it to improve and adapt to the household’s preferences and routines
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in private households, estates, or formal service environments
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Ability to move and carry at least 25lbs or more with ease
- Proven experience with infant sleep training
- Proven experience working with families who maintain high standards of care
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and ability to self-direct
- Experience working collaboratively with other household staff
- Fluent in English or Spanish (both acceptable)
- Valid US passport (must be US) and ability to travel internationally occasionally
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and sign nondisclosure agreements
