Overview

A busy, welcoming family in Notting Hill, London seek a fabulous live-out, full-time houseman/maintenance all-rounder/driver who can start towards the end of May. The usual schedule will be 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional longer hours needed. Flexibility would therefore be appreciated.

Responsibilities

Overseeing contractors and maintenance staff
Driving the principal, ensure the safety and comfort of passengers
Repairs within the property
Maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles
Running errands, collecting items, light grocery shopping
Being on call for alarms and ad hoc emergencies
Reporting maintenance issues
When the family is not in residence, the following duties are added:
- Silver polishing
- Household inventories
- Overseeing art handling and deliveries
- Help with the overall upkeep of the property and its contents
- Checking house systems are working correctly

Requirements

A good level of fitness - the home has 5 flights of stairs!
Impressive attention to detail
Efficient, common sense approach to tasks
Positive, can-do attitude, able to work equally well as part of a team, or independently
Excellent references
Plenty of initiative and self-motivation with a positive, can-do approach
Fluent in English
Discreet, flexible, calm personality
Great with children
