Overview
A warm, joyful, and highly engaged family on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptional full-time nanny to care for their two young daughters (ages 5 and 3). This is a collaborative, long-term opportunity for a proactive, education-minded caregiver who brings positive energy, creativity, and a genuine love for children into the home.
The family spends the summer months (late June through August) in the Hamptons, where the role transitions to a live-in, Monday–Friday position (private room provided, candidate goes home on weekends). The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and excited to become a valued part of a dynamic, loving household.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two young children
- Foster a nurturing, joyful environment centered around learning, creativity, and exploration (music, art, play-based engagement)
- Partner closely with hands-on parents to support consistent structure, boundaries, and positive communication
- Plan and facilitate enriching activities, outings, and playdates
- Transport children to and from school and activities
- Prepare healthy, balanced meals for the children (family values nutritious eating habits)
- Assist with light household tasks related to the children (laundry, tidying, dishes) and step in collaboratively when needed
- Travel occasionally with the family, as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching is a plus
- Proactive, organized, and confident in creating structure while maintaining a fun environment

Requirements
- Prior professional childcare experience with similar age groups
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate engagement
- Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
- Comfortable swimming and supervising children in/around water
- Fluent English communication skills
- College degree strongly preferred
- Ability to work 55–60 per week with stamina and positivity
- Flexibility to transition to a live-in role in the Hamptons during summer months
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Discreet, professional, and respectful of family privacy
- US work authorization
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $35–$40/hour, depending on experience
