Overview
A lovely older active couple in their eighties, on the Upper East Side, NYC, is looking to hire a full-time live-out companion caretaker. The role would be helping to maintain their NYC apartment and companion care. The schedule would be 5 days a week from 11am-7pm, when in the city. In the summer (May 15 through Sept 15), the role would be live-in East Hampton. The schedule would be working over the weekends for 5 days/evenings. This position is looking to hire immediately.
Responsibilities
- Daily companion care responsibilities.
- Running errands
- Helping with grocery shopping
- Liaise with other staff - housekeeper and driver
- Drive the couple around to appointments, events, dinners, errands, etc.
- Making sure everything is prepared for upcoming trips
- Helping them to maneuver the right buttons on the iphone or TV remote.
Requirements
- Must be legal to work in the US
- Must be comfortable driving and have a clean and valid license
- Fully vaccinated
- Steady and calm demeanor
- Ability to proactively anticipate and solve issues
- Prior nursing or medical experience is a plus
- Meal Prep and be able to cook, is a plus
Note: In East Hampton, the accommodations will be a private bedroom & full bath.
