Overview
A kind, active family located approximately 30 minutes outside of Denver in Morrison is seeking a mature, energetic, and engaging Live-In Nanny to support their two bright, active, and social children, ages 7 and 9. The family lives on 40 acres in a semi-rural setting on the way to Colorado ski country and enjoys an active, outdoors-oriented lifestyle centered around sports, skiing, animals, and adventure.
The ideal candidate is emotionally mature, calm under pressure, highly communicative, and confident caring for older children who are intelligent and interactive. The family is seeking someone who can become a true extension of the household, active enough to keep up with the children while also bringing structure, warmth, and consistency to the home.
Schedule
- Split-shift schedule averaging approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime provided as applicable
- Typical schedule includes:
- Morning coverage beginning around 6:00/6:30am through school drop-off at 7:30am
- Midday house support such as grocery runs and tidying up
- Afternoon coverage beginning around 2:30/3:00pm through after-school activities and evening routines
- Most critical hours are 2:30pm–6:30pm
Responsibilities
- Assisting with morning and afternoon routines for two school-aged children
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Driving children to sports, activities, and appointments
- Supporting an active, outdoor-oriented lifestyle including swimming, sports, and seasonal activities
- Running errands and grocery shopping during daytime hours as needed
- Maintaining child-related organization and tidiness
- Providing support during school closures, snow days, or when children are home sick
- Occasional house sitting and oversight of the property while family travels
Qualifications
- Strong swimmer
- Confident driver
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel with family on occasion *The family spends significant time outdoors skiing and enjoying Colorado mountain life, and also spends portions of the summer at their home in London and California. They are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys being active, engaging with children, and becoming part of a dynamic family lifestyle*
Requirements
- Prior experience caring for older, school-aged children
- Strong communication skills and emotional maturity
- Calm, patient, and confident personality with the ability to maintain boundaries appropriately
- Active and outdoors-oriented with an interest in sports and adventure
- Comfortable in a semi-rural environment and around a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, and reptiles
- Organized, proactive, and dependable
