Overview
A private expat family residing in Dubai is seeking a nurturing and professional native English-speaking nanny to care for their 3-year-old daughter.
This will be on a ROTA schedule of two-weeks on/off, with between 10-12 hour days.
During the 'on shift' the nanny will be provided with a private room within the family villa, (this will be rotated with the other nanny). The family will fly the nanny in/out for their shifts.
The family spend 9-months of the year in Dubai and 3-months in Turkey on a yacht, where the ROTA schedule will continue.
The role involves providing attentive care, organizing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring the child’s well-being in a loving home environment. The nanny should be responsible, caring, and have a patient attitude.
This is a fully staffed household, including a chef but there may be times when the nanny will be required to help make snacks and small meals for the child.
This role is to start before the end of June.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include everything related to the child and their well-being
- Ensuring the child's safety at all times.
- Maintaining communication with the co-nanny
- Maintaining the daily routine
- Have an understanding of child development principles and encourage the child to meet her milestones
- Researching and scheduling educational, active classes and activities
- All preparation for travel-packing, planning and scheduling activities
- Traveling as needed, for a few days up to several weeks at a time
Qualifications
- Previous experience working a ROTA schedule, or a similarly demanding role
- Flexible and easygoing
- Organized and able to keep structure while going with the flow
- Thoughtful and proactive
- Engaging with children
- Strong communication skills
- Able to "read the room" and step in and out as needed
- Active and energetic
Requirements
- Native English speaking
- Previous experience working with children of this age group
- Previous experience working with private families
- Must be comfortable spending long periods of time on yachts
- A strong swimmer
- Be a team player
- Travel ready passport
Salary and Benefits
- From £215+ per day
- You will be paid for 26 weeks of the year
