Overview
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and discreet Live-out Houseman to join a private UHNW household in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping throughout the home, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and general household duties. The role will also involve supporting with table preparation and service, including serving coffee and assisting with meals.
The successful candidate will work alongside another experienced houseman who is already employed within the household, so the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Previous experience working within a UHNW private household is a must. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a polished and professional manner, and a genuine understanding of the standards expected within a private luxury residence.
This is a live-out position, and candidates must already be based in Dubai with a transferable UAE visa. Relocation candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all daily housekeeping duties to an exceptionally high standard.
- Clean and maintain all areas of the private residence, ensuring the home is consistently presented to the highest standards.
- Handle laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and caring for delicate garments and fabrics.
- Undertake professional ironing and ensure clothing and household linens are maintained and presented impeccably.
- Assist with wardrobe and linen care as required.
- Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and other household spaces.
- Assist with setting and preparing the dining table for family meals and formal occasions.
- Serve coffee and assist with basic household service.
- Assist with meal service and clearing the table when required.
- Work closely and cooperatively with the existing houseman to ensure the smooth running of the household.
- Maintain household supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with ad hoc household duties and tasks as required by the family.
- Maintain a discreet, respectful, and professional presence within the home at all times.
- Follow the household’s established routines, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family and their private affairs.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working in a UHNW private household is essential.
- Proven experience as a Houseman, Butler, Housekeeper, or in a similar private household role.
- Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills.
- High standards of cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within a luxury private residence and understanding the discretion required in a UHNW environment.
- Fluent spoken English is essential.
- Tagalog language skills would be a bonus.
- Professional, polished, and well-presented manner.
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Willingness to assist with table preparation and household service.
- Previous experience serving coffee and supporting meal service is advantageous; candidates who do not already have these skills must be willing and able to learn.
- Reliable, hardworking, flexible, and proactive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respectful of privacy and able to maintain complete confidentiality.
- Already based in Dubai.
- Must hold a transferable UAE visa.
