A private family in Montecito is seeking an experienced Private Estate Housekeeper with silver service experience for a seasonal placement from November 2026 through May 2027.
The residence is a private 8-bedroom estate with a guesthouse. This is a hands-on role suited to a polished hospitality professional who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards within a private home environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in UHNW private residences, luxury estates, or high-end hospitality environments, with the ability to provide impeccable housekeeping while confidently assisting with formal dining and private entertaining.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service throughout the residence. The role combines detailed housekeeping, wardrobe care, and occasional silver service for private dinners and gatherings.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain immaculate standards throughout the private residence and guesthouse
- Perform detailed housekeeping, including cleaning, organisation, and presentation of living spaces
- Care for fine furnishings, finishes, and household items with exceptional attention to detail
- Manage wardrobe care, including steaming, organising, and garment preparation
- Prepare guest areas to the highest standard
- Assist with formal and informal dining service, including silver service, table setting, serving, and clearing
- Support private dinners and occasional household entertaining
- Complete errands and household tasks as required
- Work discreetly and professionally within a private family environment
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a UHNW private residence or luxury estate
- Strong housekeeping skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident in providing silver service and supporting private dining
- Experience caring for luxury finishes, furnishings, wardrobes, and household items preferred
- Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy
- Professional presentation and a service-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team while following household preferences and routines
- Excellent references from previous employers
