Overview
A warm, respectful, and well-organized family in Atherton, CA, is seeking an exceptional career nanny to join their household and provide attentive, nurturing care for their two young daughters, ages 3.5 years and 20 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced childcare professional who is confident managing the needs of two young children and is looking to build a long-term relationship with a wonderful family. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family values flexibility, as occasional extended hours, overnight care, and both domestic and international travel will be part of the role. During family travel, the nanny may be asked to remain with the children and adjust their schedule as needed. The family understands the importance of a healthy work-life balance and is hiring a dedicated weekend nanny to provide additional coverage and ensure sustainable scheduling. They are seeking a proactive, dependable, and polished professional who brings excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development in a loving and structured home. This role is best suited for someone adaptable, discreet, and committed to being a trusted, long-term member of the family's support team.

Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- All aspects of full-charge/sole-charge care
- Providing attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for both children
- Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings
- Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children
- Maintaining organization of children’s clothing, toys, and personal spaces
- Packing and preparing for travel (including children’s wardrobes and essentials)
- Supporting the family during travel, including assisting on flights and at destinations
- Driving the children to school, activities, and appointments
- Proactively managing supplies (clothing, household items for the children, etc.) and communicating needs
- Light child-related household duties (laundry, tidying, organization)
Qualifications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Warm, positive, and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Experienced in private households with a strong understanding of discretion and professionalism
- Comfortable traveling internationally and working in dynamic environments
- Strong communicator with excellent judgment and initiative
Requirements
- Portuguese-speaking is a plus, but not required (English and Portuguese speaking household)
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to stay overnight
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Trustline certified or willing to become certified
- Legal to work in the U.S.
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $60/hr, depending on experience and flexibility, PTO, and a $300 monthly health insurance contribution
