Overview
A warm and loving family in SoHo, NYC is seeking an experienced, engaging, and developmentally focused career nanny to care for their 12-month-old beginning September 1st. This is a long-term opportunity for a nanny who is passionate about early childhood development, enjoys creating enriching experiences, and wants to become an important part of a family's life for years to come.
The family is looking for someone who is highly professional, mature, and proactive, with a genuine love for working with infants and toddlers. They value a nanny who understands developmental milestones, can thoughtfully support learning through play, and is confident creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, independence, and growth.
The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, energetic, and enjoys getting on the floor to play while also maintaining a calm, structured environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a long-term mindset are essential.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Approximately 8am – 6:30/7pm (around 50 hours per week)
- Flexibility for occasional travel and overnight care is appreciated.
- Live-out position
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, loving care for the child
- Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities
- Encouraging learning through play, creativity, reading, music, and exploration
- Supporting developmental milestones and maintaining consistent routines
- Feeding, diapering, dressing, and maintaining the child's daily schedule
- Preparing and cleaning bottles, children's meals, and keeping nursery areas organized
- Children's laundry and keeping the child's belongings neat and organized
- Assisting with naps and maintaining healthy sleep routines
- Traveling with the family both domestically and internationally as needed
Requirements
- Extensive professional nanny experience with infants and toddlers
- Strong understanding of child development and developmental milestones
- Creative, engaging, and enjoys planning enriching activities
- Mature, professional, and seeking a long-term position
- Excellent communication skills
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to renew)
- Comfortable traveling with the family
Salary and Benefits
- $40–45/hour, depending on experience
