Overview
Our UHNW clients are seeking an experienced, highly capable Estate Manager to serve as the chief operating officer of their private estate in Tampa. This role carries full responsibility for multimillion-dollar budgets, extensive vendor networks, and all private household staff, ensuring the smooth, secure, and efficient running of the property at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and review all domestic employees, including Housekeepers, Nannies, and Housemen.
- Financial Management: Oversee the estate’s operating budget, review vendor invoices, and log monthly expenses.
- Vendor Procurement: Vet, negotiate contracts with, and manage general contractors, roofers, and smart-home technicians.
- Smart Home Operations: Manage integrated automated systems, including Crestron, Lutron, and advanced security matrices.
- Manual Creation: Author and continually update a highly detailed, comprehensive Household Operations Manual.
- Principal Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the principal’s corporate office and personal needs.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Estate Manager is a must; junior candidates will not be considered.
- A true 24/7 mindset is essential — this role requires availability and responsiveness around the clock, as needs arise.
- Strong financial acumen, with proven experience managing large-scale budgets, invoices, and vendor contracts.
- Demonstrated staff leadership skills, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Technical proficiency with smart home and security systems, including Crestron and Lutron.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience creating and maintaining detailed operational documentation.
- Hurricane Preparedness: Proven ability to lead and execute the estate’s mandatory annual Hurricane Preparedness and Evacuation Plan.
- Coastal Property Expertise: Experience supervising specialized coastal property preservation, including seawall inspections and humidity-controlled storage management.
- Discreet & Reliable: Comfortable working within a private household, maintaining confidentiality and the highest level of professionalism at all times.
