A warm and well-established household in N6 is seeking an experienced, reliable and proactive Live-Out Housekeeper with some proxy parenting responsibilities to join their family on a permanent, full-time basis.
The household consists of one adult and two teenagers. The successful candidate will take responsibility for maintaining the home to a high standard while also providing practical support to the teenagers when required.
The role will include:
- Full housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Laundry, washing and ironing
- Keeping the home organised and running smoothly
- Running household errands and occasional shopping
- Cooking would be a welcome bonus, but is not essential
- Helping with practical day-to-day needs of the teenagers
- Proxy parenting for approximately 8 nights per month, including staying overnight when the parent is away
- Ensuring the teenagers are safe, settled and supported during overnight stays
The overnight proxy-parenting duties will be paid additionally or compensated with time off in lieu, by agreement.
The ideal candidate
The family is looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in private-household housekeeping
- Warm, trustworthy, discreet and highly responsible
- Organised and able to work independently
- Comfortable around teenagers and confident taking responsibility when required
- Flexible and dependable, particularly when undertaking proxy-parenting duties
- A good communicator with a practical, can-do attitude
- Cooking skills would be an advantage
