Overview
A lovely family in Mill Valley is seeking an energetic, organized, and proactive child-focused family assistant to become a trusted and valued part of the family. This role is centered around supporting three wonderful school-aged children while helping create a well-run, organized, and engaging home.
The position will begin on a part-time schedule (approximately 25 hours per week), with the opportunity to grow into a full-time for an ideal candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills and enjoys taking on administrative and project-based responsibilities for both the home and, occasionally, the family business.
Schedule:• Approximately 2:00pm to 7:00pm to start
Preferred but not required:• Occasional weekend shifts• Flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments• Occasional mornings available when needed
Responsibilities
Childcare & Family Support (Primary Priority)
- Morning routine, breakfast, and preparing children for school
- School drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups
- Driving to sports, activities, appointments, and playdates
- Planning engaging outings, adventures, and age-appropriate activities
- Preparing healthy snacks and meals for the children
- Helping maintain organized bedrooms, closets, toys, school supplies, and seasonal clothing
- Supporting homework and encouraging independence
- Creating fun, memorable experiences while providing consistent care and guidance
Household and Family Organization
During school hours, responsibilities may include:
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Meal preparation for the children
- Organizing household spaces and family systems
- Children's laundry and organization
- Managing household projects
- Researching products and services
- Creating systems that help the household run more efficiently
Technology & Administrative SupportResponsibilities may grow to include:
- Using AI tools to streamline planning, organization, and research
- Travel research and itinerary planning
- Booking family travel and coordinating logistics
- Calendar management
- Organizing digital information and family records
- Assisting with special projects
- Light administrative support for the family's business as the role evolves
Qualifications

- Proactive and solution-oriented personality
- Open to travel
Requirements
- Tech savvy; embraces modern technology including AI to simplify tasks and improve everyday life for the family.
- TrustLine certification, or willing to certify before starting
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- Already local/commuting distance to Mill Valley
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
$45-55 per hour with benefits to be discussed
