Domestic Couple – Private Residence
Our client is seeking a discreet, professional, and empathetic domestic couple to support the smooth running of a private household for a single principal. This is a long-term opportunity for a dedicated couple who take pride in delivering a high standard of service while maintaining a calm and unobtrusive presence within the home.
Role Overview
The successful couple will work collaboratively to ensure the residence is maintained to an exceptional standard, with a clear division of responsibilities across housekeeping and estate support duties.
Housekeeper / Cook Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping duties, working alongside an additional housekeeper to maintain immaculate presentation throughout the property
- Daily cleaning, organisation, and upkeep of all living spaces to a high standard
- Laundry and wardrobe management, including care of fine fabrics and delicate items
- Preparation of fresh, well-balanced meals for the principal (home-style cooking; no formal entertaining required)
- Kitchen management, including stock control, provisioning, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Occasional assistance with errands and household organisation
Handyman / Driver Responsibilities
- General maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring everything is in excellent working order
- Basic repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Gardening duties, including routine care and seasonal upkeep of the grounds
- Chauffeur duties as required, ensuring safe, punctual, and professional transport for the principal
- Liaison with contractors and external service providers when necessary
Additional Duties
- Care and supervision of two dogs and one cat, including feeding, walking, and general wellbeing
- Supporting the overall day-to-day running of the household with flexibility and teamwork
Candidate Profile
- A quiet, respectful, and emotionally intelligent couple with a naturally empathetic approach
- Previous experience working within private households in a similar capacity
- High levels of discretion, trustworthiness, and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Flexible, proactive, and able to anticipate the needs of the principal
- Full, clean driving licence (essential for chauffeur duties)
