Bespoke Crew is delighted to be supporting a yacht management company in Palma de Mallorca in the search for a Marine Electrician to join their established technical team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior to intermediate-level electrician who is looking to develop their career within the marine industry while working alongside an experienced technical team.
This is a hands-on technical position rather than a management role. The successful candidate will support the wider team with electrical maintenance, installations, fault finding and repairs across a diverse fleet of luxury yachts.
The Role
Working closely with experienced members of the technical team, you will assist with the day-to-day electrical requirements of the yachts under management.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the diagnosis and repair of AC and DC electrical systems
- Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs
- Supporting fault finding and troubleshooting across onboard electrical systems
- Working with battery systems, charging equipment and power distribution
- Assisting with inverter and charger systems
- Reading and working from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
- Working closely with other electricians, engineers and members of the technical team
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a consistently high standard
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has a solid electrical foundation and is keen to continue developing their technical knowledge within the marine sector.
You should be:
- A qualified or experienced electrician with good practical electrical knowledge
- Comfortable working with both AC and DC systems
- Confident with basic fault finding and diagnostics
- Hands-on, practical and willing to learn
- Able to work effectively as part of an established technical team
- Reliable, organised and professional
Interested in developing a long-term career within the marine and yachting industry
Previous experience with Mastervolt, Victron, PLC systems, lithium batteries or BMS systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
Previous marine or yachting experience would also be beneficial; however, candidates with a strong electrical background who are looking to develop further within the marine industry are encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements
- Electrical experience and/or relevant electrical qualifications
- Good understanding of AC and DC electrical systems
- Full driving licence
- Fluent English
- Already based in Mallorca
- Legal right to work in Spain
