Overview
A private family is seeking an experienced Full-Time Private Chef to join their household culinary team. This role will involve working collaboratively with the family's existing chef on a rotating schedule. The schedule is on an alternating rotational schedule of 2 days on / 2 days off, 3 days on / 3 days off. The position primarily focuses on lunch and dinner service, along with preparing healthy snacks and other items to have available throughout the day. The family is seeking a chef who will be a collaborative, valued member of the household team and who genuinely enjoys creating nutritious, delicious meals in a private family environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh, healthy, well-balanced lunches and dinners
- Prepare healthy snacks and grab-and-go items as needed
- Create menus with a strong focus on nutrition, quality ingredients, and variety
- Accommodate family preferences, dietary needs, and changing requests
- Source and shop for high-quality ingredients
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professionally run kitchen
- Manage food inventory and minimize waste
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with the other full-time chef
- Adapt menus and meal service based on the family's schedule and needs
- Travel with the family on occasion when required
- Maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism within the household
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a Private Chef in a private household
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, healthy cooking, and balanced meal preparation
- Ability to prepare elevated, flavorful meals while maintaining a health-conscious approach
- Collaborative and comfortable working alongside another chef
- Easygoing, positive, and professional demeanor
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules, menus, and family needs
- Highly organized with excellent kitchen management skills
- Comfortable with occasional travel
- Discreet and accustomed to working in a private household environment
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering a salary of $140K++ depending on experience.Benefits include:
