Overview and Opportunity
A prestigious private estate in Berkshire is seeking an experienced and highly professional Housekeeper to join its established household team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous, hands-on and service-focused Housekeeper to provide evening support to a private family and their guests.
Working Saturday and Sunday, 4pm-9pm, the successful candidate will support the household at weekends with evening housekeeping, guest preparation, entertaining and service, ensuring the property is maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the weekend.
Job Description
The Housekeeper will report to the Senior Housekeeper and work as part of the wider household team, providing dedicated evening support at weekends.
Duties will include maintaining the property to an exceptional standard, preparing bedrooms and guest areas, turn-down, laundry and ironing, as well as supporting the family during evening entertaining.
The role will also involve assisting with table service, clearing and resetting, light kitchen duties and ensuring the property remains beautifully presented throughout the evening.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property.
- Provide evening housekeeping and prepare bedrooms and guest areas.
- Complete turn-down service as required.
- Assist with laundry, ironing and linen duties.
- Prepare the property for evening entertaining and guests.
- Provide discreet and professional service to the family and their guests.
- Assist with table service, serving, clearing and resetting.
- Assist with light kitchen duties and clearing.
- Maintain entertaining and living areas throughout the evening.
- Support the Senior Housekeeper and wider household team as required.
- Maintain complete discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household, luxury residence, estate or high-end hospitality environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
- Experience with evening service, entertaining or private dining would be advantageous.
- Strong housekeeping skills, including cleaning, laundry, ironing and bedroom preparation.
- Confident providing table service and assisting with entertaining.
- Professional, discreet and service-focused.
- Reliable and committed to working Saturday and Sunday, 4pm-9pm.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of an established household team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
