An experienced and reliable Housekeeper is required to provide temporary support at a newly renovated private residence in Wardington. Working alongside the household team, you will help maintain an immaculate, organised and welcoming home throughout the booking.
This role would suit a proactive Housekeeper with excellent attention to detail, strong laundry skills and experience caring for high-quality interiors.
Key duties
- Daily cleaning and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
- Laundry, ironing and careful handling of clothing and household linen.
- Changing bed linen and making beds to a high standard.
- Caring for fine furnishings, delicate fabrics and specialist surfaces using appropriate products.
- Keeping wardrobes, cupboards and household storage areas organised.
- Preparing guest bedrooms and entertaining spaces.
- Monitoring cleaning products and household supplies, notifying the House Manager when replenishment is needed.
- Assisting with table setting and informal service when required.
- Working collaboratively with the household team and respecting the family’s privacy.
Candidate requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience within a private household.
- Excellent cleaning, laundry and garment-care skills.
- High standards of presentation and strong attention to detail.
- An organised approach and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- A discreet, professional and dependable manner.
- Excellent, verifiable references.
- Availability for the full temporary booking.
Location: Wardington, near Banbury, Oxfordshire
Dates: 17th November to mid-December 2026 — exact end date to be confirmed
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Rate: £20–£25 per hour, depending on experience
