Overview
First time parents living between TriBeCa and Greenwich, CT are seeking a fabulous Newborn Care Specialist for the birth of their first child. Mom is due mid-August but will most likely be induced August 8th. The role will be 20/7 for the first 2-4 weeks, then 20/5 for the next 4 months. Mom is an only child and doesn't have family around so is really looking for a partner to help guide her and her husband.
Responsibilities
- Establishing a good sleep routine for the baby
- Teaching and supporting Mom and Dad on this new journey
- Overseeing developmental milestones
- Feeding, diapering, swaddling, and bathing as needed
- Baby’s laundry
- Communicating when something needs to be restocked in the nursery
- Sanitizing pumps and bottles
- Reading to baby
- Conducting the nighttime routine
Qualifications
- Seeking a candidate who is:
- Collaborative, calm, and even-keeled
- Works well alongside first-time parents and warmly offers any tips or input without being dominant; can be helpful as they are new parents but to remain patient and collaborative in the process
- Can respond to what parents want
- The candidate to hire must be comfortable around dogs
Requirements
- Must ideally have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist/infant care nanny
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- COVID vaccinated, and up to date on Flu/RSV/TDap and MMR vaccinations
- Available to start as early as the beginning of August
- Available for 5+ months
Salary and Benefits
- $600 per day+ depending on experience
