Overview
A lovely family in Midtown Manhattan, NY is seeking a full-time nanny to help care for their three children, aged 3.5-years-old, 2-years-old, and 4-months-old. The general schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-6pm, for at least 40 hours guaranteed per week, with some flexibility for schedule changes, date nights, and occasional travel. The family is open to live-in, or live-out, and overall are looking for the right fit for their family. The family travels mid July through end of August, and would love a candidate who is open for traveling with them for these 6 weeks in the summer.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall care for the children
- Help maintain the daily schedule and routine
- Provide professional guidance, while respecting the family’s personal preferences
- Provide fun age-appropriate activities, outings, supervise any activities that might come up, go on walks, encourage play and overall engage with the children
- Occasional school pick-ups
- Child related light housekeeping to help maintain an organized space, including laundry, sanitizing toys, and helping children's spaces
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Travel with the family for 6 weeks in the summer
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, and caring
- High energy and able to care for all ages of the children
- Proactive and can take the initiative, while also able to take direction
- Wants to support the family as a whole
- Someone looking for long term
- Experience traveling with a family is a plus
- Speaks English well, but does not have to be the first language
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional nannying experience
- Experience working with all ages of the children
- Great communicator
- CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify
- Valid Passport
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly rate is $35-$40, based on experience
- 2 weeks vacation, sick days, holidays
