Overview
A growing family in Menlo Park is seeking a part-time, live-out housekeeper for their 7700 sq foot primary residence (7 bedrooms, 7 baths), starting immediately. The schedule will be a guaranteed 20 hours per week, ideally worked over 2-3 days. The family travel occasionally, so finding someone they can trust to be in their home while they’re away is important.
The family are currently building a home in Atherton, which will take another 3-4 years to complete. Though not a deal-breaker, they'd ideally like to find someone now who could move with them to the new home, where they would transition to a full-time role. The role will still be live-out (there is no option to live-in).
Responsibilities
- Deep clean every bathroom and kitchen weekly
- Wash bedlinen once a week
- Help with laundry and dishes
- Help with cleaning up after baby’s meals (baby is 1 year-old)
- Every week focus on an area of the house for a proper deep clean like cleaning out the fridge or help tidy up the closet by folding clothes etc.
- Help run errands e.g. pick something up or drop off a package.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience working in high-end private homes
Requirements
- Be warm, kind, reliable, and calm with a solid moral compass
- Able to commute to Menlo Park (this role is not open to out-of-state candidates at this time)
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified and be non-smoker.
- COVID vaccinated (no boosters required), and up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Available to start immediately
