Overview
A busy and creative-minded principal based in the Hudson Square area of Manhattan is seeking a full-time, live-out personal assistant to help streamline their day-to-day life. This role requires a mature, highly organized individual who has excellent attention to detail, a calm demeanor, and a “no task is beneath me” attitude. The right candidate will be comfortable supporting both professional and personal tasks, enjoy wearing many hats, and thrive in a dynamic, home-based environment.
Responsibilities
Keeping the executive organized in day-to-day life, proactively anticipating needs
Managing home vendors, maintenance appointments, and service providers
Writing and sending emails on behalf of the principal and family
Booking tickets for events, making restaurant reservations, and coordinating car services
Supporting travel arrangements in coordination with the principal’s travel agent
Managing household calendar, ensuring all appointments and commitments are up to date
Expense tracking, bill payments, and household budgeting
Ordering household items and managing incoming packages and returns (Amazon, etc.)
Greeting guests, answering the phone and door, and offering hospitality (coffee, water, etc.)
Letting the family dog out as needed (they have a regular dog walker)
Qualifications
- Exceptionally detail oriented– someone who is concerned with triple checking items
- Someone that came from a creative background vs a finance background
Exceptionally organized, with strong administrative and time-management skills
Mature, professional, and discreet
Tech-savvy and efficient with email, calendar apps, and online ordering
Easy-going, solutions-oriented, and flexible
Creative background or eye for design is a plus
Comfortable working in a home or informal office setting
Requirements
- Be child-friendly-
- You must be a dog lover for this role
- Team-player happy to partner with existing household staff. No one is to be above anyone else in the hierarchy of staff, everyone answers to principal
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have experience and skillset with scheduling Zooms, using WhatsApp, Google Workspace, etc.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary DOE $85,000-100,000
- 80% of health-care paid
- Vacation and sick-days
