Job Title: Part-Time Housekeeper
Location: New York City
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-1:00 PM (with some flexibility)
Compensation: $35 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
A reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper is needed for a family in New York City. The ideal candidate is thorough, organized, takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-run home, and can work independently with minimal direction. This role supports a busy household and works alongside a full-time Nanny/House Manager.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of key living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms
- General housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitizing
- Family laundry and linens: washing, folding, ironing (as needed), and organizing
- Maintain organization of closets, storage spaces, and common areas
- Light meal prep or vegetable/fruit washing (as needed)
- Manage trash and recycling
- Assist with receiving packages and placing deliveries where needed
- Notify the family or house manager of any maintenance issues or supply shortages
- Deep cleaning projects on a weekly or rotating basis
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and respect for the family’s routines and privacy
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years of professional housekeeping experience in private homes
- Excellent cleaning and organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working around children and a busy household
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in cleaning routines
- Strong communication and reliability
- Long-term availability preferred
