Butler - Mayfair, London
We are seeking an exceptionally polished and service-driven Butler to join a fully-staffed UHNW private residence in London. This is a rare opportunity to work in a refined and highly professional environment, collaborating with a team of three fellow Butlers and a wider household staff of 17.
This role demands discretion, anticipation, and a seamless approach to service. The ideal candidate will bring longevity in private household roles and a proven ability to deliver excellence without supervision. The Principal values dedication and stability; short-term stints will not meet their expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver formal and informal service to the Principal and guests to an impeccable standard
- Manage front-of-house duties, including greeting, table service, beverage preparation, and care of silver and crystal
- Coordinate daily household operations alongside the Butler team
- Wardrobe care, garment management, and packing/unpacking for travel as required
- Organize household inventories and maintain service areas
- Support special events, dinners, and family travel when necessary
- Uphold the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality, and security
Requirements
- Significant experience in an UHNW private residence, luxury hospitality, or private member’s club
- Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large household team
- Calm, professional demeanor with meticulous attention to detail
- Flexible approach to service while strictly adhering to a 48-hour workweek
