Job Title: Handyman / Gardener / Pet Carer

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Work Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off, 7:30am – 5:00pm

I’m seeking an experienced, versatile and organised individual to join a VIP household in Kensington as a Handyman/Gardener/Pet Carer. This live-out role offers the opportunity to care for a range of pets, maintain the property and gardens, and assist with general household management. Travel within the UK and occasionally overseas may be required, so a valid UK or EU passport is essential.
Responsibilities:
Pet Care (2 days per week, covering full-time Pet Sitter):
- Provide attentive care for five dogs, a cat, three rabbits, and a tortoise
- Manage feeding, medication, and overall wellbeing of all pets
- Conduct multiple walks for the dogs, tailored to individual needs
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in pet areas, litter trays, and enclosures
- Assist with light housekeeping in pet areas and back-of-house.
Gardening and External Maintenance:
- Maintain front and back gardens to an immaculate standard
- Seasonal planting, hedge trimming, deadheading flowers, leaf blowing, and jet washing
- Clean iron fencing, perimeter walls, drains, and gullies
- Manage rubbish and bin areas
Handyman/Facilities Management:
- Perform general handyman duties, including painting, simple carpentry, and light electrical tasks
- Monitor and assist external contractors with planned maintenance (PPM)
- Conduct quick reactive maintenance tasks as required
- Maintain stock of garden and FM items
- Assist with roof drain clearing and high cleaning
Household Assistance & Plant Room Management:
- Perform ad hoc tasks and assist with events, children’s entertainment, and household activities
- Organise and maintain three plant rooms, the garage, and offsite storage areas
- Maintain inventories of household items, including light bulbs
- Assist with maintenance checks at other family properties in London or overseas (occasionally)
- Perform errands as required, must hold a clean driving licence
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in canine care and pet management
- Skilled in gardening, handyman tasks, and general household maintenance
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to go the extra mile
- Attentive, patient, proactive, discreet, trustworthy, and self-assured
- Valid UK and/or EU passport for travel purposes
