Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at a prestigious hotel in Roscommon. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality, innovative dishes that meet the hotel’s standards for excellence, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation across all menus.
As an integral member of our kitchen brigade, the Chef de Partie will oversee a designated section of the kitchen, assist in managing junior staff, and maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute creatively to a dynamic culinary environment while delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with the kitchen’s standards and menu specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
- Assist the Head Chef or Sous Chef in planning and executing daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in accordance with health regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Train, guide, and support junior kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and skill development.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Ensure timely and organised delivery of dishes during service while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Proven ability to prepare and present high-quality dishes in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience managing a designated kitchen section with strong organisational skills.
- Solid knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and support junior staff.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
