Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead the culinary team within a well-established hospitality property in the West of Ireland. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional food standards, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for guests. The successful candidate will bring creativity, strong leadership skills, and a passion for quality cuisine while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Role & Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Develop seasonal menus and specials, focusing on quality, creativity, and cost control.
Manage food purchasing, stock control, and supplier relationships to maintain profitability.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
Control labour costs through effective rota planning and team management.
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to support progression and performance.
Collaborate with senior management to achieve financial targets and enhance the overall guest experience.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen leadership role (Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef level).
Proven experience managing high-volume kitchen operations.
Strong knowledge of food cost control, budgeting, and kitchen financial management.
Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP standards.
Must have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
