Overview
A loving Manhattan family of four is in search of a Newborn Care Specialist. The baby is 9 weeks old and their repeat (and current) NCS had to leave due to a health condition. The role starts ASAP and ideally will last until the end of April. This is a 20/7 live-in role. The newborn is currently waking up once at night.
Responsibilities
- Full newborn care
- Establish sleep shaping and healthy sleep habits
- Bottle prep/support breastfeeding routines
- Track feeding, sleep, and developmental milestones
- Work with parents on newborn care and routines
- Maintain nursery organization and sanitation
- Soothing and monitoring
Qualifications
- Friendly and personable with the ability to read the room.
- Calm demeanor, who can fit into a laid-back and relaxed household
- Structured but calm, reassuring presence
- Experienced in sleep conditioning (not just reactive night nursing)
- Collaborative with hands-on parents
- Okay with a toddler in the home
Requirements
- 5+ years newborn experience
- Formal NCS training/certification
- Infant CPR & First Aid
- Excellent references
- Willing to live-in temporarily
- Available starting ASAP for 8 weeks
- Comfortable working alongside others and able to work alone
