Overview
First-time parents of a son born mid-January 2026 are seeking a wonderful, loving, engaging, and professional live-out nanny. They reside on the UWS in Waterline Square. The schedule is Monday through Friday for 47.50 hours weekly, about 8am-6pm. The job begins April 13th and the baby will be about 4-months-old then. The nanny must speak a second language besides English; the parents only speak English but would love to bring in a second language for him (no specific language required). The parents sometimes work remote at home or in offices outside of the home (non-remote) and travel for work at times. There are no pets in the home. The candidate to hire must handle the role professionally, have high attention to detail, be engaging with their child, and encouraging his developmental growth. The parents do want to grow the family down the line so they are seeking a long-term nanny who will grow with their family for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring baby's safety, health, and happiness at all times
- Actively nurturing and engaging the child in educational, developmental, and fun age-appropriate activities that encourage his physical and mental growth
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. tummy time, mealtime, socialization, potty training, learning to read, walking, etc.)
- Taking the child to classes, the park, on walks, arranging playdates, reading, and indoor & outdoor play
- Diaper changes
- Maintaining the child’s nap, eating, and play schedules
- Child’s laundry (clothes and bed sheets)
- Feeding, meal preparation, and cooking for the child
- Notifying parents when child-related items need to be restocked, clothes are too small, etc.
- Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy (putting away/wiping down toys, cleaning bottles, dishes, and the kitchen after meal-time, tidying his room, emptying diaper pail, doing baby's laundry, changing baby's sheets, keeping the stroller/diaper bag organized and well-stocked)
- Flexible and able to stay longer as needed I.E., babysit at night or on weekends
- Keeping a log/report of his schedule (feeding, naps, etc.)
- Occasionally bathing and bedtime as needed I.E., if parents are out that night
- Open to occasional travel or overnights as needed
Requirements
- 7+ years of nanny experience with 3+ of those years in caring for infants from ages 2-months-old to 12-months-old
- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance from UWS
- This position is ideal for a nanny seeking a role with a wonderful family for at least the next 5+ years at least as they grow and have more children in the future; this role is long-term and they are seeking a candidate seeking the same
- Respect in how parents want things to be done; someone who takes feedback well
- Proven track record of supporting developmental milestones, such as introducing solids and encouraging motor skills
- Someone punctual and reliable who maintains a professional demeanor while fostering a warm, nurturing atmosphere
- Trustworthy and honest, has good judgment, and builds strong relationships based on integrity

Salary and Benefits
- $36-40/hour (based on 47.5 hours a week with 7.5 hours of overtime per week on average, the annual compensation range before taxes is $95,940-$106,600). Again, this is gross, not net (not with taxes calculated).
