Role: Private House Manager
Location: Central London
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum
Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, approximately 9 hours per day (typically 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm)

Overview and Opportunity
An established UHNW family in Central London is seeking a highly capable Private House Manager to oversee the smooth running of their main residence. This is a hands-on role in a high-tech, modern home, working closely with the PA/House Manager and a dedicated domestic team.
The ideal candidate will enjoy being at the heart of household operations, leading by example, and ensuring that everything runs efficiently behind the scenes. You will manage a team of around 15 staff, including housekeepers, drivers, a chef, and security, while coordinating household systems, maintenance, and contractors. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, professional environment with a high level of responsibility and visibility.
Job Description
Private Staffing & Team Management
Manage a team of approximately 15 staff, including housekeepers, drivers, a chef, and security
- Supervise daily operations and coordinate the household team to maintain high standards
- Lead by example to ensure all household systems and SOPs are followed
- Support household operations during weekends as required
Household Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the smooth running of a high-tech, modern residence
- Coordinate contractor work, maintenance, and home improvement projects
- Manage household budgets, expenses, and accounts
- Maintain presentation standards throughout the home
Guest & Family Support
- Serve as the central point of contact for all household matters
- Oversee guest arrangements and manage special requests discreetly
- Ensure the residence operates seamlessly during family travel (up to 14 weeks per year)
Systems & Technology
- Comfortable managing household technology, automation, and maintenance schedules
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to maintain efficiency
Role Responsibilities
- Supervise the internal house team and manage daily operations
- Maintain household presentation and SOP adherence
- Coordinate contractors, maintenance, and projects
- Oversee household budgets, accounts, and expenses
- Serve as the point of contact for all household matters and guest arrangements
- Support operations during weekends and family travel periods
- Proactively maintain high standards across the home and lead staff effectively
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience managing large, high-profile households or equivalent high-end environments
- Confident in leading a team, supervising staff, and coordinating contractors
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing household systems, technology, and maintenance schedules
- Discreet, professional, and able to manage guest visits and special requests seamlessly
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
