Private Tutor (British Curriculum) – UHNW Family | UAE
Marcilly Recruitment’s client, an UHNW family based in the UAE, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Private Tutor to support four boys aged between 5 and 12.
This is a newly created position working within a fully staffed household, with each child having their own nanny. The role will focus purely on academic support, structure, and educational development in line with the British curriculum.
The successful Private Tutor must be a fully qualified teacher with strong experience preparing children for entrance exams (11+), and confident supporting multiple children of varying ages and abilities with their homework and any additional learning as required.
Private Tutor Package & Particulars
- Salary: AED 30,000 – AED 38,000 per month (flexible)
- Benefits: Fully furnished one-bedroom apartment in prime location; BUPA Gold medical & dental insurance; discretionary annual bonus; One return flight per year; 22 days annual leave and visas
- Location: on site at the household in Dubai
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 12pm – 8pm (with one day off in lieu of the Saturday morning) + Saturday morning required
- Start Date: September 2026 (earlier is possible if UAE-based already)
Private Tutor Role
The Private Tutor will be responsible for overseeing the children’s academic progress, supporting homework, and working closely with the wider household team to ensure consistency, structure and social and educational development for the children
Private Tutor duties will include:
- Supporting all academic learning in line with the British curriculum
- Preparing the children for 11+ entrance exams and future boarding school pathways
- Assisting with homework and academic organisation for all children
- Working collaboratively with nannies and household staff
- Creating structure, routine, and consistency around studies
- Providing regular updates to the parents and senior household staff
- Adapting approach to suit different personalities and learning needs
Private Tutor Requirements
- Fully qualified teacher (essential)
- Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and experience of working as a teacher in the UK
- Proven experience preparing children for 11+ entrance exams and any other future examinations
- Experience of working as a tutor or governess within a private household is highly desirable
- Experience working within private households or UHNW environments preferred
- Warm, engaging, and confident personality
- Firm but fair approach
- Highly organised and adaptable
- Highly educated candidate who has taught in leading schools.
- A Russell group graduate is highly desirable
