Overview
A Long Island, NY family is seeking a live-in or live-out housekeeper/nanny to work Monday through Friday from 7am-7pm (can leave at 6pm for live out) with breaks throughout the day. The family has 3 children ages 2, 4, and 6-years-old. The Father works outside of the home and the Mother is the primary caretaker but role will assist with childcare as needed. This role is 60% housekeeper and 40% nanny. The family has a weekly deep cleaner as well. The family lives in an 8,000 sq. ft. home with 5 main bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. There is a separate private bedroom and attached bathroom for a live-in candidate. The family has a small dog.
Responsibilities
• General housekeeping and maintenance of home organization• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathroom, doing the dishes, etc.• Laundry and ironing• Making beds and changing linens• Inventory management for household supplies• Partner with the Mother on childcare needs from morning routines to after school support; baths, dressing, meals, etc.• Driving the children as needed (family will provide a car)• Childcare when needed during the day (Housekeeping will not be expected at the same time)• Assist with simple food prep and meals as schedule permits
Qualifications
• Previous housekeeping and childcare experience• Flexible and hard working• Able to travel domestically with family 1-2 weeks during the year
Requirements
• Vaccinations up to date • A respectful and discreet disposition• At least 5 years previous experience in a similar role• Comfortable around dogs• Licensed driver with a clean driving record
Salary and Benefits
