Overview
Wonderful first-time parents are seeking a superlative full-time live-out nanny for their sweet infant daughter who will be approximately 4-months-old at time of job start. They are seeking a candidate who is looking for a longterm role and wants to grow with the family. Character qualities of kindness and joy working with young ones is important to them; a nanny who will treat their baby as their own in the sense of loving, protective care. This role is live-out so the candidate to hire must be within a reasonable commute to Greenwich and be a licensed driver with a car to get to and from work as public transportation is limited. The family also has a sweet chocolate Labrador dog so must be comfortable around dogs and not allergic (he will often be at doggy daycare). Both parents work in office (not in the home) and there may be an occasional day when one of them works from home during the week. The schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm (10 hours each day making for a total of 40 hours a week). The role begins June 29th.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring baby's safety, health, and happiness at all times
- Actively nurturing and engaging the child in educational, developmental, and fun age-appropriate activities that encourage her physical and mental growth
- Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (e.g. tummy time, mealtime, socialization, potty training, learning to read, walking, etc.)
- Taking the child to classes, the park, on walks, arranging playdates, reading, and indoor & outdoor play as age-appropriate for each stage
- Diaper changes
- Maintaining the child’s nap, eating, and play schedules
- Child’s laundry (clothes, bed sheets, etc.)
- Feeding, meal preparation, and cooking for the child
- Notifying parents when child-related items need to be restocked, clothes are too small, etc.
- Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy (putting away/wiping down toys, cleaning bottles, dishes, and the kitchen after meal-time, tidying her room, emptying diaper pail, doing baby's laundry, changing baby's sheets, keeping the stroller/diaper bag organized and well-stocked)
- Flexible and able to stay longer as needed I.E., babysit at night or on weekends
- Keeping a log/report of her schedule (feeding, naps, etc.)
- Occasionally bathing and bedtime as needed I.E., if parents are out that night
- Open to occasional travel or overnights if needed, but they have no plans for this at this time
Requirements
- 5+ years of nanny experience with 3+ of those years in caring for infants from ages 2-months-old to 12-months-old
- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance from Greenwich, CT (no public transportation access)

- Respect in how parents want things to be done; someone who takes feedback well
- Proven track record of supporting developmental milestones, such as introducing solids and encouraging motor skills

Salary and Benefits
- $38-43+/hour (may consider higher rate depending on a candidate's resume that outlines their work history including longevity in roles, roles working with infants-toddler age, and educational background of degrees/certifications completed as it relates to caring for children)
- 2 weeks' vacation (the parents often take off the second half of August and the second half of December)
- Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave, accrued at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked
- Major holidays off and paid
- Monthly healthcare stipend of $250
