Overview
A busy family of four is seeking a Summer chef for their home in East Hampton. The duration of this position is from June 9th through Labor Day, and the general schedule is 5 days per week, including weekends. The role can be live-in or live-out, depending on the candidate's needs. This is a fun and down-to-earth family looking for a great chef to join them this Summer!
Responsibilities
- Duties include preparing daily meals for the family, including children, with varied preferences.
- Duties also include grocery shopping, organization and upkeep of the kitchen area, and keeping the pantry stocked.
- There will be frequent guests and small gatherings at the home, and the menu will focus on seasonal, local ingredients.
- You will also be responsible for kitchen clean-up and organizing at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a private or personal chef in a high-end household
- Ability to quickly adapt to an existing routine and preferences
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor
Salary and Benefits
- The family is open to a gross daily rate, depending on experience level, and the agreed-upon schedule
- Starts around $800 per day gross
